    Odell was among 22 people killed when a suicide bomber detonated his bomb inside a mess tent near Mosul, Iraq. Born in San Bernardino County, Odell graduated from Apple Valley High School in 1984. According to the Daily Press, Odell joined the Army in 1985 and served in Panama and the first Gulf War. At the time of his death he lived in Manassas, Va., with his wife and children.
