Trevor A. Wine

    Trevor A. Wine, 22

The whole neighborhood is distraught. We should all hope for a son like Trevor.
    — Dawn Hookano, neighbor

Wine was known for being a big brother and taking younger people under his wing. In his neighborhood, he was often seen working on his old pickup truck, surrounded by local youngsters.

Four memories of Trevor A. Wine

Thank you Trevor. Gone but not forgotten. The last Medical Detachment group, I met in New Orleans Lousianna. They were being shipped out, for the boys fighting in Iraq. A rocket attack, knocked out a good part of the group. I have an extreme reguard, for these medical teams. Now and during the conflicts, including Europe, during WW2. So long ago, yet, must face the loss, of such wonderful individuals. These men and women, serving as Trevor! Doing what they beleive is right! For God, Country and humanity. Without question! May God Bless you Trevor.

I knew Trevor when he was a little boy, a charmer chasing after me and his big brother, Todd. We were 16, dating, and trying to paint Todd's room. Trevor kept wandering in with that huge grin and those enormous blue eyes, begging to help. Trevor and I used to sit together at Todd's baseball games, too. I always liked having him around. Now, every time I hear about another military death, I see Trevor, still that sweet little boy with paint on his cheeks.

I went to high school with Trevor, he was one grade ahead of me. I remember that he had the most piercing blue eyes and such a sweet disposition. Although we were not close friends, I wanted to say that I am so thankful for Trevor's sacrifice of his life. I am honored to have known him and am humbled by his sense of duty to fight for freedom.
