He would tell me about the sky in Afghanistan, the clouds, the bright stars just shining so much. And I would look at the sky and it was comforting to know we shared the sky.

Roads died July 10 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. Since grade school, Roads had talked about becoming a Marine, following the footsteps of his grandfather, Greg Stevenson.

I'm Tyler Roads mother. I personally from my own heart want to thank EVERY single person who's heart has felt such a great loss. I am Proud, Blessed and Honored that I had the privilege to have Tyler in my life as long as I have. There is no word to describe how bad I will truly miss My Baby Boy as Tyler always said. My Son sacrificed His life for Our Country. I knew the dangers but never imagined I would ever know this kind of pain. As Tyler's Mother, THANK YOU!!! Honey, ilumtaitwww, dont forget pamf!!! semper fi

RIP, Tyler, your legacy of freedom will live on. You've done your duty well and grateful Americans know the price of freedom is a priceless gift we can never repay.

sonia, from mother to mother, iam so so sorry, my heart brakes for all of you. But especially you.
    A mothers love,
    runs deep and strong
    In our eyes,
    they do no wrong,
    We only want ,
    whats best for them,
    So, all the little things,
    we'd do again,
    To keep them safe,
    both day and night,
    Through any delemma,
    through any fight,
    I know Tyler,s safe,
    I know He,s sound,
    For our lord God,
    He has found,
    Just know I believe,
    in YOU,
    "A Mothers Love,"
    oh so true.

    ALWAYS, (Aunt) Traci
