I named my dog Babalou because he's Havanese (i.e., from Havana), and the name Babalou sounds Cuban. Desi Arnaz was Cuban and he had Club Babalu, right? I didn't spell it "Babalu" because when I looked up the meaning, it was something a little unpleasant, although I don't remember the details right now.

I chose Chino since he is a Pug and they originate from
China. The spanish term for China is "Chino". Also, I used to live in the city.

she's a chocolate multi colored cocker spaniel. we got her on a Sunday. but I chose to name her Sundae for my husband who finally agreed to let us get a dog! his favorite dessert is a chocolate sundae!

We adopted Alison from the German Shepherd rescue. Her name at the shelter was Allie---and I didn't want to change it, but since our last name is Scottish, we decided to make it a clan name--so it's Alison.

I named my dog Skittles because she went without a name for about 2 weeks. She was only a puppy but she was quite crazy,so we named her Skittles because she was a crazy mixed up pup, like the colors in a bag a Skittles candy.
