My dad chose it. My mom and I wanted something--anything--else. But, while my dad agreed to something else, he shot down all other suggestions. So, 10 years later, he is fully an Ace, and could never be anything but.
Our husky is large, black and white. We named him Pixel because when we adopted him, he thought he was small.
Because the blood is the life
I have a 4 y/o male Pug named Tony Soprano. They look a little alike. :)
I have a Whippet and we named him Simon since a Whippet is an english dog and Simon is an english name. I wanted to name him DEVO but it was too close to our IG who is named Dante..
We named our Labradoodle "Lambeau" because I am from Green Bay and a Packers fan!
I didn't choose it. She was named that before I got her. The shelter volunteers tried to change it but she responded to Katie, so I figured we should just stick with it. I personally think it's uninspired. But she was going through enough. I didn't want to change her name on top of everything.
Rufus is the perfect dog name. It was a foregone conclusion before breed or gender. Unfortunately, my wife insisted we get a female chocolate lab. Miss Rufus.
I found my dog wandering near the Grand Canyon, lost, scared and confused. Yet I could see in his eyes a great, sweet, smart soul. I adopted him, but couldn't figure out a name that fit for a few days. Finally, someone said "Max. Name him Max." And I instantly thought "YES!" Because he's the "Maximum Dog"! And he is!!
My dog is a wheaten terrier mix, and his fur is the color of Bailey's Irish Cream. Aside from that, I just loved the name.
