Named my dog Sandy because my little brother insisted since he used to be a Grease movie fan. He said when he got his dog he would name his Danny. He did get a dog and didn't live up to his promise.

It's my Bearded Collie that's named Azura Wednesday!
I chose the name because it just came to me weeks before I adopted her. Azura ia Persian for blue. Her eyes eyes are an intimidating ice-blue, which gives her a very stoic stare. So, I also gave her the name Wednesday, after Wednesday Addams. Thus, Azura Wednesday.
Believe it or not, she jumped out of my car on July 5th and was missing for 12 days!! After searching high and low for 10 days, going door to door, putting up fliers and covering the neighborhood for hundreds of miles, I ran out of things to try.
She returned to me all on her own on the 17th!! My neighbor knocked on my door and when I opened it, he pointed at the top of the stairs...Lo and behold, there she was....Dirty, skinny and tired, but she was in one piece and I'm glad to have her back.

Thanks for the help. With more than 50,000 dog names, it was hard to catch them all. I just overlooked Wonton. Sorry! I'm sure he or she is a great dog.

I saved my dog Lucky from a shelter. He had hours left to live, hence his name. Not only that, he went from a life on the streets and being abused, to a life of prime rib bones, the run of my house, 2 walks a day and as much love and attention as he can stand! And EVERYONE kept saying to me, "Boy is he lucky!" so the name stuck! I love that dog and he is my family...and besides, no one else jumps up and down with excitement when they see me coming! haha

I choosed that name because she was the runt on the pack. She born so small and all would comment on her size "she is so chiquita".
