We named or dog Butters after the character Butters from South Park. He is my wifes favorite character from South Park and so we named our dog Butters.

We adopted her from the West LA shelter and the shelter staff gave her that name.

We had a Basset hound we adopted named Sir Elvis.

Some one "dumped" another Basset in our yard (a neighbor saw her do it) - when we came home we had a "surprize" so we named him Sir Prize - Prize for short.

I named my great dane puppy Juno, because Juno/Hera was known for being a nasty person, (aka: a female dog in heat), and I thought that it was a perfect name for the attitude I wanted my dog to have.

My male shihtzu was quite browny when i bought him newly and it resembled as the rootbeer drink color to me..and I thought it would be a different name too..dont regret it at all as his name gets a lot of attention and he is adorable too
