Comments about dogs named Allegra.

My dog Allegra left this world in 2001 - she was a black lab/golden retriever/Newfoundland mix. She was the sweetest doggie in the world. My late husband and I got her from a puppy box in front of a Fred Meyer store in Lynnwood, WA in June of 1988 - she was 2 months old. The night I brought her home - I fed her and she started bouncing around - she was such a happy dog. "Allegra" means HAPPY in Italian, and my husband was Italian/American - he gave her the name - also because allegro is a musical term - and she was my "peppy puppy" - but the thing that cinched the name was that evening there was an episode of "Hunter" on television - and the episode was entitled "Allegra" - and so, the name was hers - my sweet Allegra girl. She's been gone for all these years, but I still miss her every day.
