Eddy Howard was a singing bandleader whose recording of "To Each His Own" sold 2 million copies.

Howard gave up leading big bands in 1962 and teamed with small combos at resort hotels in the Palm Desert area.

Howard began his musical career while attending Stanford University. He collaborated with other songwriters and also wrote pieces on his own. He had a dozen other recordings that sold more than a million copies, including "Rickety Rickshaw."

On the last album he recorded, "Eddy Howard Sings and Plays the Great Band Hits," Howard paid tribute to fellow bandsmen Glenn Miller, Guy Lombardo, Benny Goodman and Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey.
