Ernest Truex appeared on Broadway and in scores of movies.
Some of Truex's best remembered Broadway shows included "Very Good, Eddie," "The Dummy," "Six Cylinder Love," "Wildfire" and "The Fall Guy." His last Broadway appearance was in "A Very Rich Woman" in 1968.
He appeared in such movies as "Love At First Sight," "The Millionaire," "Life of Lillian Russell," "Whistling After Dark" and "The Adventures of Marco Polo."
Truex later turned to television, appearing in several programs including the early '50s sitcom "Mr. Peepers."
