Harry Carey was a veteran of more than 300 screen roles whose Hollywood career spanned four decades.
The actor, who favored western roles, made his first movies in 1908 after years on the New York stage. His films included "Sea of Grass," "Slide, Kelly, Slide," "Barbary Coast," "Little Miss Nobody," "Sutter's Gold" and "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington."
When Carey died he was recalled as the "last of a great quartet" that also included Tom Mix, Bill Hart and Will Rogers.
