Jeanie MacPherson was a veteran motion picture figure who was associated with Cecil B. DeMille as an author and scenarist for 31 years.
MacPherson began her film career in 1915 when she collaborated with DeMille on a picture called "The Captive." Among the dozens of screen hits for which she subsequently received writing credit were "The Ten Commandments," "The King of Kings" and "The Crusades." She also was an actress and a dancer and, at one time, wrote, produced and directed her own short films.
