Judy Canova, a self-described cowgirl-entertainer, was known for her hillbilly humor and an ear-busting yodel.

Starting in vaudeville, the country singer and comedian's stage, radio and film career ran from the "Ziegfeld Follies" on Broadway to TV's "The Love Boat."

Although she had made a name for herself on the stage and in films by the early 1940s, radio brought her the most fame. "The Judy Canova Show" ran for 10 years on the NBC radio network, ending in 1953.
