Mark R. Sandrich was a noted motion-picture producer.
Mr. Sandrich made the successful Ginger Rogers-Fred Astaire pictures and numerous others, most of his successes being achieved under the banners of Paramount and R.K.O. "Holiday Inn" was one of his most notable pictures. "Here Come the Waves" is his latter release. At the time of his death he was working with Irving Berlin on "Blue Sky" for Paramount and he had been host at a luncheon honoring Paul Draper, star of that musical production.
Mr. Sandrich was born in New York City. He was educated at Columbia University, specializing in science and mathematics, but after his graduation he turned to writing short stories and plays and entered the motion-picture industry in 1922.
