Nils Asther was a suave Swedish leading man in early films who immigrated to Hollywood in 1926 and made about 35 pictures, among them "Our Dancing Daughters" with Joan Crawford in 1928 and "The Single Standard" with Greta Garbo in 1929.
He returned to Sweden shortly after his final Hollywood picture, "That Man From Tangier," in 1953.
