Tom Moore
Pioneer film star Tom Moore, whose acting career covered half a century, came to the United States with his family in 1898.
He first appeared on the stage when he was 21.
A veteran of the stage, he came to Hollywood in the silent picture days and became a top performer. His two brothers — Owen and Matt — also were stars on the silent screen. In 1929 the three starred in "Side Street."
Over the course of his long career, Moore appeared with some of the biggest stars in scores of films including "The Primrose Ring," "Stop Thief," "Mr. Barnes of New York," "The Cowboy and the Lady," "Manhandled," "Adventure," "The Trouble with Wives," "Good and Naughty," "The Last Parade" and "Mr. Broadway."
His last appearance was in the network television play "The Secret," with Francis X. Bushman and Madge Kennedy.
