The two-time All-Star out of Minnesota played the first seasons of his professional career with the Lakers before being a part of the trade that sent Wilt Chamberlain to Los Angeles.

The hidden gem of the 1966 draft, the fourth-round pick made an immediate impact as a rookie in 1966-67, averaging more than 10 points per game off the bench. His playing time increased significantly the following season and he finished the year averaging nearly 20 points per game.

Despite posting strong numbers during the team’s postseason run to the finals, Clark was traded along with Jerry Chambers and Darrall Imhoff to Philadelphia for Chamberlain on July 9, 1968. He played eight more seasons in the NBA before retiring in 1976 following a season in Detroit. Clark later co-founded the National Basketball Retired Players’ Assn.
