Charles Nash, nicknamed Cotton, is one of only 12 men to play in the NBA and major league baseball. After being drafted by the Angels in 1964 and playing for their Class-A team in San Jose, he tried out for the Lakers in 1964 and made the squad. He played 25 games for the Lakers before being traded to the San Francisco Warriors. Nash made his first major league baseball appearance with the Chicago White Sox in 1967, and played a total of 13 games with the White Sox and Minnesota Twins over three seasons, batting .188.
