Derek Harper was the second player in NBA history to reach 15,000 points, 6,000 assists and 1,800 steals. He is 13th all-time in steals (1,957) and 19th in assists (6,577).
Harper spent much of his career with the Dallas Mavericks but was a member of the Lakers for his final season in the league. And even though he was a 16-year veteran, he still had plenty to contribute.
He led the Lakers in assists per game (4.2), was second in three-point baskets (43) and three-point shots (117) and was fourth in steals per game (0.98). Harper’s highlights with the Lakers include a 20-point game against Orlando and a game-winning three-pointer in the final minute against Seattle.
