The Loyola University of Chicago graduate helped the Lakers win their first championship title in what would be his only professional season. Dwan saw limited time off the bench at guard and forward during the 1948-49 season, averaging 4.6 points per game. He and his friend and roommate, Lakers great and fellow Illinois native George Mikan, were the only players to appear in all 60 games that season. Dwan died at age 72 in 1993.
