Trapp has the, perhaps, unfortunate distinction of having played for arguably the greatest team and quantifiably the worst team in NBA history.
Trapp, out of UNLV, was a reserve who averaged about six points a game on the legendary Lakers championship team of 1972, which won 69 regular-season games — then a record — including 33 straight, still an NBA record.
He was traded five games into the following season to a Philadelphia 76ers team that would win just nine games that season, still an NBA record for futility.
