An All-American for John Wooden at UCLA, Allen spent three seasons of his decade-long career with the Lakers, finishing third on the team in scoring in 1975-76 and 1976-77. Known for his speed and quick jump shot, Allen won an NBA title alongside future Laker Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971. He was traded to the Kansas City Kings in 1977 and retired in 1980.
