Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
It must be the most difficult of all things to do to honour the life of a person who was driving the train in which your relative was injured or killed. That is true compassion.
Our thoughts are with you all.
We in Sydney, Australia have endured similar experiences.
To Beverly in c/o of her family:
I only met you once but you have made an significantly positive impression on many in my family. By knowing members of your extended family and all the wonderful things they say and that they have made about who you are and what you are about easily establishes you as a very special person.
To Beverly...rest well.
To her family. We will keep you in prayer and hold you close though God and Christ.
My heartfelt sympathy to all of you!
Well, not much is being said about this precious child of God. I am sad for her sudden death. My wife and I extend our prayers the surviving family
It is eye-opening to read about a random group of strangers who died, the likes of whom you probably meet everyday without knowing their dreams and aspirations, the weaknesses that make them human, the people in their lives. I just hope that it doesn't confirm the notion that each of us is most appreciated when we're dead. Look out for each other and embrace the present.
I am so unbelievably saddened right now to find out that Maria is no longer with us. I met her this quarter in industry sewing. She was amazing and I was always trying to keep up with her because she was so good and would always get her pieces done first and perfectly. Maria, I didn't kno u well but I admired u, ur unique style and talent. May God be with ur family during this most difficult time. You are forever engraved in my memory.
I am just heartbroken over the loss that Mr. Sanchez' family is enduring. I am so sorry. May God give you strength for each day.
Mr. Grace was greatly appreciated and loved by everyone. He was one of the reasons why i enjoyed my years at roosevelt so much.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. RIP Ron Grace. you will be missed dearly.
LK, i think this is the wrong time and place to be making political statements. Thank you.
I've been hesitant in taking the plunge to write on this memory wall. Attempting to sum up the importance of my Roosevelt years (about 8 years ago) and the part Mr. Grace played is an intimidating task. A wall-post probably won't do it justice. At USC, a major that I am about to complete focuses on my ability to value a company. Mr. Grace's untimely passing made me question my ability to value myself to my friends and loved ones. The only reasonable conclusion that I can think of is maybe a person's value is driven by their ability to bring people together (even years after they had last spoken) and their ability to leave a lasting impression. Going by these standards, Mr. Grace was certainly priceless to all that he had met along the way.
I vividly remember Maria Elena's mom on Friday evening worried sick about her lil' girl and describing her as "beautiful" FIDM student. I am deeply saddened to see that she was on this list. To her family I hope they stay strong and know that Maria is in a better place now and she will always live in their hearts.. forever... RIP Maria Elena
