Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 11

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
I worked with Buck over at the City of Burbank Equipment division as first a helper and then a mechanic from 1982 thru 1988. The news of his passing in this horrific wreck slapped me hard when I got an email telling me what happened......it has taken me awhile to respond to this but he needed the recognition as a good man more than anything else, so here goes.
He was kinda quiet and a bit gruff on the exterior but a great guy all the way once you got to know him. He also probably knew every truck, car and piece of equipment at the city yard better than the drivers & operators themselves, and had a good sense of humor besides. It was a pleasure to have been able to work with & know this man.
It has been some time since he left us all and I sincerely hope his family and all others involved in this are getting by OK. God bless you, Buck, and I'll see you on the other side!

The pain will never go away. Your room is finally done and I think you would like how it has turned out. I put up the wallpaper you had picked out when we looked online for a designed that you liked, but instead of hearing the smooth sound of your new sewing machine, we only hear the silence. We sit there and look at all the pictures of you and cry. It will be 7 months since you've been gone, but it feels like yesterday. I miss you so, so much.
I KNOW THAT MR. GRACE ARE MISSED BY MANY AND IS A NICE FUNNY GUY. I DID NOT GET A CHANCE TO MEET HIM. BUT BEFORE THE DAY HE DIED, I SAW HIM WALK ON THE FIELD WHEN WE WERE DOING P.E. R.I.P MR. GRACE

Thankyou tou everyone who still is keeping Ron"s memory alive, especially, Shannon and Emilise. It is very comforting to know how much " Mr. Grace " affected your lives in such a good way. We all miss Ron so much as we were such a close family. I suppose we are doing O.K. because we have to - Ron would have wanted it that way. Ron enjoyed every moment of his life and shared that enthusiasm with everyone he knew. His motto in life was " always remember that the glass is half full instead of empty! I want to again thankyou all who keep his memory alive with your wonderful comments.Let's all keep the comments coming and shared stories of him posted because we are all in this together trying to heal and we can help each other. I am especially looking forward to possibly meeting you at the upcoming dedication of the school's and or gym anf field in his honor.I will be there with his son's Andrew and Brian. Keep in touch and again thankyou for taking the time and love in posting your thoughts. I will always be checking in!
Fondly ,
Jan Grace ( Ron's wife )
