Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 124
Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
I remember passing Donna last Thursday in the tunnel at Union Staion and saying good morning to her. She worked in Stationery at the USG Metro building with Kenny Allen and was always very helpful with the items we needed to service our users (stationery provides LCD monitors to ITS techs). She will be greatly missed.
May God hold and protect her family especially through this difficult time.
My condolences to the buckley Family. I didn't know alan but i knew his son Jeff buckley. My prayers for the family.
I met Walt at the Regional Office when he was in 510 and I was working in 505. He always seemed to have an upbeat attitude and a smile for everyone he came across. Just a genuinely nice guy. Deepest sympathies to the Fuller family and his many friends.
I did not know Buck at all before I started to read these posts, it is very clear he left a mark on everyone's life that he met, and a person to be admired.

MY PRAYERS ARE WITH MR. POMPEL FAMILY AND FRIENDS, MY YOU FIND CONFORT IN THIS TIME OF SORROW. GOD BLESS YOU ALL ..
We met Ron in 1979, when he came to our physical therapy office for treatment. Over the years, we have become dear friends and been through many life changes. We were at Ron and Jan's wedding and have watched Andrew and Brian grow up to be fine young men.
During the 29 years that we have known Ron, he still holds the record for the "most areas treated", which made him laugh!
We smile when we think of Ron's love of life and people and mourn the loss of such a fine human being.
Heaven has received another angel!
I really don't know what to say other then that I will greatly miss Atul. And when I think of all the fond memories from high school he will be right there. In all of our band classes, speech and debate clubs and school activities he was allways there with a smile. Atul was not just a great guy but a great person. Never in my life have I ever met someone so intelectual, wise, funny, humble, out going, just an overall great person. He was younger then me but I always looked up to him, he carried all the characteristics that I strive for and I admire. I can honestly say that when I look back and I can not think of one negative thing to say about him. He truly was a great friend, a great guy and a great person. He always stayed true to himself no matter who he was with and when you talked to him, you knew was going to do wounderful things with his life. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. It really saddens me how such a great person has been taken from this earth but I know God took him because he needed him up there with him by his side.
I was not honored enough to know Doyle like so many of the others who have expressed such beautiful words of admiration for him. As I read down the list of quotes, I can't help but fight back the tears and as I continued to read I realized something... These words of admiration regarding Doyles life, his character, his devotion and most of all his passion for Christ are the same words I would want spoken of me when Christ calls me home. How amazing that even in his absence, Doyles life is a shining example of who I want to be as a husband, a father, a friend and most importantly a Christian man. These words spoken by love ones and friends have left a lasting impression on me and I must thank Doyle for his mentorship, his love for his family and his commitment to God's work. Matthew 10:32
God bless all who were hurt by this senseless tragedy. Including those of us who may not have known anyone personally or as a family member. We all hurt from this utter lack of safety...a shared responsibility....one mostly on the shoulders of MetroLink and its partners who failed to install the BEST, state of the art security and stop gap safety measures.
Ms. Tyrell can sleep tonight. I wonder how many MetroLink executives can?
Mike,
You were always so cheerful when came by our office every day, delivering mail. You will missed, and my prayers are with you and your family.
