Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 144
Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
I didn't know him that much, but I know he was a good, kind, counselor. RMS will never forget Mr. Grace. He reminded everybody about those 100 credits and how important it is, especially for us 8th graders. Life is really surprising..But we all know you're in a better place right now..
RIP Mr. Grace

My heart breaks with every news report. I believe I heard today that the family has already filed a claim against Metrolink and at a time of such loss it is understandable. My hope is that any claim filed by any family member of anyone lost in this accident will set aside the acceptance of blood money -- money that will ultimately be paid by these folks' fellow commuters. Instead I hope suits that are or will be filed are filed to force necessary additions in safety equipment that is available -- in essence, Metrolink would have to cease and desist doing any further business until such safety devices had been installed on all their routes -- thereby turning this horrible tragedy into something hopeful for everyone...mandatory changes that will allow these souls to live on by watching over and protecting others in the future, in their memory.
May God Bless each and every one of you and your families!
Mr. Long was teacher unlike most. He made a promise to all of his students that he would come watch them play at least one of their Oaks Christian games. In the class room he was nothing but helpful and never lost his smile. It was an honor to have been taught by him. From his abundant amount of knowledge to the conversions we had inside and outside of class Mr. Long touched not only the classes of 09 and 11 but also all of those he worked with.
Mr. Long the back corner will miss you forever!!!

I met Ron 12 years ago when I met my husband, his nephew, Bryn. In those 12 years, I have seen how much of a positive force he was in many lives, including my husband's. He was always fun loving and wanted nothing but the best for everyone that was in his life. It's a tragedy beyond all belief that he is gone and he still had so much to do. My heart goes out to Jan, Andrew, Brian and the Grace family for the tremendous loss they have suffered.
mr. grace was such a kind, friendly guy and he was always there to help out. i cant believe that hes gone now. i was shocked when i heard the news and he will always be remembered as a great man and as one of the good counselors that ive had. R.I.P. Mr. Grace.
I have known Mr. Long for quite some time. First, when my sisters went to Grace Brethren High School, and more personally when I attended. He was such a great man and amazing teacher. He was passionate about everything he talked about, no matter what topic. We could sit in class for a bit talking about Lord of the Rings and he would get so excited, and than a minute later be talking about a book we had read for that class and he would be equally enthusiastic. I feel blessed to have known Mr. Long he really was always there when you needed him, and he will be missed greatly by all of those lives he has touched. I am comforted to know that Mr. Long was such a great man of God and is in a much better place. Thank you for all you have taught me Mr. Long! I will see you one day again.
My prayers are with you Mrs. Long and Devin, may God bless you both.
you will be missed ill always remember your red polo and khaki shorts <3
Many years ago, Greg was in my training class at IRS. He was distant and difficult to know!until my first daughter was born. Surprisingly, he appeared at my house with a gift for her and some kind words and philosophies about parenting and such. His dry wit could be hilarious. He remained somewhat distant and aloof at work, but I would occasionally run into him in Simi Valley, where we both lived. He was always with his son when I would see him, and he was always a different person with his son. Eager to talk and joke, it was clear to see what mattered to him most. I'm very sorry for the pain and grief his family must be feeling.
My heart goes out to you and your family. I didn't know her, however from what I read she sounds amazing. My heart goes out to all the victims families and friends. May god bless you all.
