Blame and anger do not cure grief but prayers can help the soul. Condolences to all who are suffering and to the young men who were Robert's train friends and his family, I'll be praying for you all.

My older sister went to Roosevelt. I went to Roosevelt. My younger sister went to Roosevelt. And now, my younger brother goes to Roosevelt.

We all knew Mr. Grace. We all loved Mr. Grace. He was probably the most caring, most influential, most helpful staff member in that middle school. He remembered me and all of my siblings after all these years. On the day of the crash, he called my brother to his office in the morning just to have a conversation with him... asking him how me and my sisters are. He told my brother, "So, you're the last Crisostomo huh?" He told my brother to say hi to us. This was very meaningful to me because it simply shows how he still cared for us even though we graduated from middle school years ago. It shows that he truly cares about and knows his students.

My brother is really affected by this news. He's been calling me constantly just talking to me about the accident. I think it impacted him greatly that a man he first met and talked to on that day faced death less than 24 hours later. My parents can't stop thinking about it. When my mom first heard about it, she kept telling me, "Kia, I want Mr. Grace to still be alive. Why HIM?" My whole family is in sorrow. Mr. Grace made a huge difference in our lives.

I guess, the good die young. I'm sure he's in heaven. Thank you so much for everything, Mr. Grace.

Mr. Grace was a great man and now that he's gone RMS won't be the same without him the school is different now. On Saturday when my friend called me and told me I didn't really believe it but then as I called the metrolink to see what had happened to you but there was nothing and then on Sunady when I looked at the deaths of people and Mr. Grace's name was there I was so devastated. I'm going to miss Mr. Grace very much and now when I pass by the office or if I am in the office it will be uncomfortable. I remember when it was a month before leaving my elementary school and then off to RMS for 7th grade Mr. Grace was the one that interviewed me for AVID and he was such a nice, caring, and wonderful man. I'll never forget everyday after school you would be standing by the office steps watching everyone go by and you always had on that big smile on your face. My condolences to the Grace Family and Friends. He will always be in our hearts and never ever forgotten by anyone. Rest in Peace Mr. Grace.

Walt was one of the finest people we have ever known. Our boys played baseball together for about 10 years. Through the agony and joy of youth sports, he always kept a level head and set the example during adverse situations. His integrity is unmatched. A true friend that was always willing to listen and give good sound advice. He always found a way to help and support in any way possible. We will miss the many summer vacations we spent together following our son's baseball games and fishing. Walt was a true friend and will be missed dearly.
