Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Sanchez family. We are very sorry for your loss. At any given time on any given day, we all take life for granted. We think that life will last forever, then tragedy strikes to remind us how precious life really is. Robert may you rest in peace and that God be with you.
Accidents happen but tell that to my friend and co-worker Chris Aiken.
I'm sure your sister Maria is in heaven creating couture wings for all the angels in heaven including my frind Chris who is also among the victims of this tragic event. I'm very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
Roger and my brother Tom were good friends. I have heard many a story about the good times they had. I met Roger the last time we visited California....it was a short meeting, but enough for me to agree with all the writings here; that he was a warm inviting person with a ready smile and great sense of humor.
I think perhaps people like Roger are put on this earth to show us how easy it is to toss out a smile to everyone you meet and make the world a better place.
My thoughts are with the family and also with Tom....I know you have lost a treasure.
Mr. Long always had such a jolly spirit! I could look to his guidance if I wanted to see a warm, friendly face. Last year, Mr. Long was my english teacher, and I hate to say it, but I slacked off in his class and had to re-take the class in summer school. Having to take summer school really opened my eyes, and that I need to work harder in my subjects. Because of Mr. Long, i am a changed person, working harder in my studies, and trying to have the same positive and encouraging attitude as he did. I love him and miss him dearly.
Gabby, Although I don't know your family my heart reaches out to you and your family. Watching you on the news friday night brought tears to my eyes. I watched the news that day until it was off the air and yet I was wondering if you had found your sister. Until I heard from a friend who is attending CSUN now gave me the news. I am so sadden by your loss. I am also a public rider of buses and trains. My sister call worried not knowing if I was on the train or not. I know that once your a counselor you will be a very good one. Your sister will live through you and be by your side the whole time. God bless to your family our prayers reach out to you.
Spree was an extremely hard worker and a professional. She always kept her fellow officers' safety in mind while in the field and also the safety of the public. It is not a surprise to me that she wore her uniform when riding the train home to look out for others. Spree, you and your smile will be missed by all.
To Sharon and the girls, we are so sorry for your lose. We all loved Chris so much. He was such a joy to be around. As so many people mentioned, I can't stop picturing that smirk he used to give. Such a sweet face and wonderful personality. He was so smart and funny. Please find comfort in the fact that he is watching over you from Heaven!
I've got a lot of memories of Doyle; he took me on my first fishing trip, gave a lot of combine rides, and he was a master at wheel swinging in the "The Bomb" (you had to be there). He will be missed. Claudia and kids, Aunt Norma and Jo: We're all thinking about you and praying with you.
I saw her mother waiting for her on the news and this whole weekend i kept thinking about the mom and if she was ever reunited with her daughter. I am so heart broken that didnt happen. God Bless her family and may they find comfort on day....
