Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 178
Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
Mike was our mail carrier and came to our office everyday. He was a loving gentle soul and was always laughing. He loved his family and Star Wars. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
As others have said before me, Walt's smile lit up the room and his cheerful attitude was a joy to be around. I was truely shocked and saddened to hear of his passing and my prayers go out to his family and friends. You will be missed my friend.
I knew Paul back in the 70's when he was a student at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC and he worked at the Information Desk of the University. I was able to visit with Paul 2 years ago when his dad passed away, and Paul and I were able to speak at his mother's funeral visitation last Tuesday evening in Greenville. I enjoyed meeting his wife Karen and his son. Paul had shared with me that they would be leaving Friday to return home. Little did I realize nor did Paul and his family realize at the time that he would be heading to his eternal home on Friday afternoon rather than to MorePark. My condolences are to the many family members and friends and students that had the privilege of knowing Paul and the impact that he make on your lives.
Like many of the comments, I so wanted Maria to be found well. I hoped that her cell phone was out of her reach, but that was not God's plan. Peace and strength to all of the families. With faith and prayer, it will come.

Our community has just lost a wonderful young man. Atul was meant to do great things. I will always remember his intelligence, warmth, and commitment as one of our leaders in the Key Club at Santa Susana High School. My heart goes out to Aseem and many prayers to the Vyas family as we all search to understand this tragedy.
May God bless your family not only for your loss but for taking back an angel he once gave to make a difference in your lives. God bless "all" who knew her and all who knew someone in this tragic accident. God bless all because the world is always experiencing a loss whether its a person, place or thing. One day God will answer to our suffering and in that day we will be reunited with our loved ones.
Until then fill every day with at least one kind gesture toward anyone, a close loved one, your neighbor, or a complete stranger and help in making this world a humble peaceful place to live. God lives in all of us and miracles begin with us... Remember its the little things that count.
I had the privilege of talking to Roger once on the train very briefly, I didn't know his name but his smile always caught my attention. He seemed to be a very gentle, kind and friendly person. I am very sad that I won't be seeing him anymore on my morning commute. May he rest in peace and my prayers go out to his family.
Our family lost our Manuel (Alcala) in the Glendale Metrolink crash in 2005. Now, your Manuel has been taken in this Metrolink crash. When I heard Manuel's mother speak about trying to find him, and calling over and over for hours after the crash.....my heart broke for his family, and the tears flowed. We had done the same thing. I wish there was something we could do or say to help your family through this difficult time. We are so very sorry for your loss. From what I have read in these posts, he was a wonderful man. Your family, and all the families who have suffered from this tragedy, are in our hearts and our prayers.
