Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Atul, you were in my graduating class. We weren't close at all, but from what I remember, you were very brilliant and a very nice person. RIP
Hey Gabby,
You probably don't remember me but we had some classes together in elementary and middle school. I just wanted to say I am so sorry for your loss and you and your whole family are in my prayers.
To Maria's Mother,
I am so sorry about the death of your beautiful daughter. I watched you plead for your daughter's safety on Friday night on TV and on Saturday morning saw Maria's aunt hold up a photo of her. From the moment I saw the photo, I knew that she was your daughter because she looked just like you. Most of Saturday night I prayed that your daughter would be returned to you. Now that I read her name on this list, my heart breaks. My prayers to you for strength during this unspeakably tragic loss.
Mr Grace helped me get my daughter on track. He was a great counselor. I owe a lot to him. He will truly be missed.
I am sure he will be looking over the children at Roosevelt from heaven.
I teach at RMS, and have seen Ron every workday for the last three years. When I got the call from our principal, I was in shock. I've thought about this all weekend, and searched the news for mention of him, because I just couldn't believe this soft-spoken yet hilarious guy was gone. He never had a bad word to say about anyone, took great pride in his job, and his passing will give us all pause to reflect on his fine character. He will be sorely missed, and there will be a gathering to mourn the loss of a family member. A true father figure to our students, he will live on in his good works over a career of service to others that spans three decades, and thousands of students under his positive guidance.
My sincerest condolences to his family. The students and I will not forget the afternoons of smiles and encouragement from this freckle-faced, good-will ambassador. Thanks to his family for sharing his presence here.
omg i talked to him after school the day he died and he said ill see you on monday bye. omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't believe it. i wonder how its going to be tomorrow at school. R.I.P. MR.GRACE
Gabby this is tragic, its uncomprehensible, and devastating to you, but know that this is also another angel god needed with him. He doesnt choose everyone he knows who is sending to heaven. Your sister will always be with you she is just far away and is waiting for you to reunite with her... Her wings are beatiful, and she is at peace... RIP
Atul was a brilliant and talented young man, my son Steven and he became close friends during their freshman year at Santa Su HS and were in most of the same classes throughout school. There was a little competition between the two of them to be at the top of the class, but Steven's friendship with Atul made him try harder to be a better student. Atul was a humble young man, he never boasted his talents, he was kind and compassionate and so full of life. I am so happy to have known him, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. We will always miss you.
Im so sorry for the loss of a young beautiful young lady . I felt really bad when i seen the news on friday , i really felt your stress to find Maria, I to have a 18 year old beautiful daughter and all you ever hope for is for GOD to bring them home safely . There are no words that can ever heal your pain, but i want you to know that i really feel bad for what has happened to you and your family . My heart goes out to you and your family God bless you .
Ron was a good man. A great man. He loved his sons and wife and the Chargers as if there was no tomorrow. I'm his one of his son's best friends, and they news sent me into an hour long frenzy of tears and emotion.
I miss you already big guy. To all affected by this tragedy, my heart is with you always.
