I didn't know Aida but I feel like I know the amazing character of her family as I watched her sister Gabby. Gabby, I am so sorry for your family's loss. Aida sounds like a wonderful person. I'm sure she's with God right now.
Your parents should be very proud of raising two wonderful girls like you both.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I think you have a great idea to live your life in a way that would honor Aida.
Please know that you have touched so many hearts already. You are a special person.
Be Blessed.
So I've known Mr. Long pretty much my whole life. Since I was little he's been teaching at Grace and even taught my older cousins. He's been a family friend for a long, long time. When I was little I used to play baseball at Grace Brethren Youth Sports and Mr. Long and my dad used to coach together. Devin and I were on the same team for a long time and Mr. Long just became one of those role model type coaches to me. Our families would go out to dinner together and even go to Dodger games. It was because of Mr. Long that I came to Grace in seventh grade and really looked forward to having him as a teacher. And then when he had to leave during freshman year I was so upset because I was just really excited to have him. To me, Mr. Long was more than a teacher. He was a friend, someone I had known and respected for as long as I could remember.
I'll never forget the baseball season of my fourth grade year. We were the Detroit Tigers and were in the championship game. Mr. Long sat our whole team down along this small hill and gave me the first inspirational speech I can remember, and one I'll never forget. He told us that we needed to finish out the season strong, with straight A's, like at the end of a school year. He told us that whatever we do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not for men. It was Colossians 3:23, which was our team verse for the season. He told us doing this was the only way to finish with straight A's. By doing this he said, we would not only win on the field, but win in everything we ever did in life.
Mr. Long finished out his life with straight A's, thats for sure. He was one of the most god-fearing men I have ever known. So rest in peace Mr. Long. We love you and I'm really going to miss you.

Roger has been a good friend to us for over 18 years. My husband worked with him for 9 years. He was the jolliest brit we ever knew. He loved soccer and was such a good friend to us. Among so many wonderful things he did for people, he scored us great seats for the World Cup in 1994 when Sweden played Camaroon.
There was NEVER time in my presence that he wasn't laughing or goofing around. He never missed important moments in our lives and brought champagne to my hospital room when I delivered our first son, Calle. There are so many funny moments to remember.
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend who had a great sense of humor and charm.
We are devastated by his passing and we send our love, thoughts, and prayers to Roger, Liz, Matt, Chris, Matt's wife and daughter, and their entire family.
Rest in peace Roger dahling.... we will always love you.
Victoria, Mikael, Calle and Niklas Borjesson
Although I did not know Jacob, as a resident of Palmdale and someone who knows what it is like to lose a loved one suddenly through such tragic means, I am especially saddened to hear of his passing, my prayers go out to the his family.
A committed Christian family man, Doyle was a wonderful husband, father, friend and son to those he loved and had these special relationships with. He was one of our faithful Awana leaders over the years, blessing us with his smile, quiet friendly spirit, quick wit and concern for others. He was best friends with his son Zach and had a unique bond with his daughters Kelsey and Mackenzie. Even though he worked in Burbank, Doyle was not one of those work-a-holic dads who was marginal in his kid's lives, he was there with them and for them. We miss him terribly already, but we know deep down that it is right that he is now home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, waiting for us to join him there in heaven some day.
I saw you on the news when the crash first happened and you were trying to get in contact with your sister. I have thought about it and turned on the news tonight but heard nothing so I logged on to google bringing up the victoms and was so sad to hear that your sister passed. I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.
I never met Walt but I know a couple of folks who worked with him and admired him greatly.
How sad to lose him and other productive, working members of the community to what seems to have been a totally preventable crash.
