Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 22

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
To the Nieves & Remata family, We just spoke to my dad (Gil Lugo)this morning and was told Tony & Evelyn have lost DeeDee to this tragedy. Our hearts & prayers go out to your family. Steve remembers the girls when they were kids & just hasn't seen them in years. By reading the other memories, we see what a wonderful person DeeDee was. We know this Puerto Rican touched many lives.
Love, Steve & Janet Lugo, Long Beach, Ca
i grew up with deedee as our parents are friends from way back. we also played softball together. my deepest condolences to her husband and kids as well as her parents and sisters.
I have plans to set up a small memorial to Robert at the Fullerton train station which is about eight miles from me and where I've caught Metrolink and Amtrack trains off and on for fifteen years. I don't know any of the rail fans who knew him but I have to do something. It will be very simple I have to put it together. I feel like I should pay my respects to him and the Fullerton station for me is the closest place and a way to connect with the trains he loved. He was probably there it's a pretty historic train spot. I haven't had a chance to go there and just reflect I've been working fifty to sixty hour weeks but I don't want to go till I have the items in hand. I'll take the poem I wrote there that is posted here and some other things. If you want to help me plan it email me at qobells@yahoo.com if not this will be my own private thing.
Have a lovely Sunday and beyond,

Dearest Sharon, girls, Mr. & Mrs. Aiken & family,
Please accept my deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you. Sharon, throughout the last year, the stories you have shared about your wonderful husband Chris, I feel I got a small glimse of how much Chris loved you, the girls and his family...in those monthly trips of picking Kathy & I up from the Chatsworth station. Ryan & Kelly, send their sympathies too, as we all grieve Walt's passing alongside Chris. We now have comfort knowing they are in Heaven together...
Respectfully, Cheryl
