As it has already been said so many times before, Atul was the brightest, most caring individual that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We sat through four years of high school together, cracking jokes the entire time. Atul was destined to do great things in this world and his memory will live on in all of us. My prayers are with you and your family, buddy. You will be loved and missed through all eternity.

Little can express the shock and disbelief that such an individual could ever be taken at such a point in his life. Atul was a brilliant and great guy who I had the privilege of knowing throughout high school. Even though we may not have kept in touch in subsequent years, I always expected that we would inevitably cross paths again as we both proceeded along our medical careers, one in which I knew he was bound to achieve whatever he set out to accomplish. My prayers go out to him as well as his parents and brother who are also amazing individuals.

Ron is the father of one of the most empathetic, happy, intelligent families I've ever known. During my first years of teaching, Ron mentored me with his quick smile, common sense, and kindness. When my own family was struggling, Ron helped us relocate to Simi Valley and to start anew. Caring about and for others is an integral part of Ron's nature. He made the world a better place.

Wow, i can't believe Mr. Grace was part of the accident. He is a counselor of Roosevelt Middle school, Glendale, CA and i just left RMS last school year. He was a great counselor.

I will miss Buck's smiling face as I get off the train at the Burbank Station where Buck got on the train. He was well-loved amongst his train buddies and he will be missed.

God bless.

I was lucky enough to have worked along side and supervise Spree when she was assigned to the Wilshire Bike Unit. She was quiet, hard working and well liked by her peers. Over the year I worked alongside her, I constantly screwed up the pronunciation of her last name. She told me "Just call me Spree Sarge". When I asked her to educate me about the background of her name, she mentioned that it was given to her by her parents indicating "free spirit".

Although her spirit is now free, I am sure we could have waited a bit longer to see it leave us.

Goodbye Spree...

I'm crying as I type this and I can't seem to stop. I've known Dennis for nearly 15 years and I just can't bear to think of him in the past tense, much less write about him that way, it's just too soon. So I won't do that, I'll say what I think about him in the present.

Dennis is the genuinely kindest person I've ever known. He never tries to be kind to people because he doesn't have to try, he's unfailingly kind and it's no effort for him. His nickname is Bunky, but he has another, less-used nickname, "Saint Dennis." He doesn't like the second one that much.

For a seriously accomplished person he is astonishingly humble. He has multiple university degrees, speaks three languages fluently, is an expert fly fisherman, surfer, and is an outstanding musician. It took years for me to find out these things about him. Dennis teaches me a lot about the true nature of why it's important to be humble, he doesn't talk about himself because he doesn't have to.

Above all other things, Dennis is a family man. It's a big wonderful family that love him every bit as much as he loves them, and always will.

Tomorrow is Monday, another work day and Dennis and I have plans for lunch.

My father was a kind hearted man who cares very about his family and friends. He loves having people around him and expresses loneliness when they leave. He would always have a big smile whenever he sees my daughter and son. I will miss him very much. I wish him happiness and love where he is now.
