Bev was an amazing woman. It was wonderful to have she and her daughters in the music program at FBC, Van Nuys years ago.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Arnold as a student at Stoneridge. I am forever grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Arnold's contributions to my life. My heart and prayers go out the family. He will be missed.

S TRV DO
If any of you were students, you know exactly what that is. I was a student at grace brethren for every grade except 12th. I am in my early 30s now.
Mr. Long was by far the most impressionable teacher ever. He actually cared. I think his class was the first class we all sat in a circle. I remember trying to learn a whole bunch of words...by no way does my limited vocabulary correlate to Mr. Long..

Anyways, we used to make paper footballs in his class and when he wasnt looking, we would chuck them hard and bop people in the face. We also did spit wauds too. If i had to speak to any of my teachers about personal issues, he was the one i would consider.

He cared about the students and supported us at almost every game. He cared and we knew it. My cousin went to Grace Brethren and the first thing I said to him was, "Do you have Mr. Long?" S TRV IO DO comes into mind right now... S LV PA? hazy..
You could just tell that he actually cared and wasnt fake. He was 100 percent genuine.
I'm sorry for your loss and my prayers are with you and your family.

Dearest Tina,

Your mother's celebration was amazing. You were amazing; so strong, so beautiful, so kind; greating everyone with so much class and a big smile from your heart. As I stood in the back of the church, I could not stop my heart from weaping. My heart kept weaping in agreement with everything that everyone said about her. It was obvious that one didn't have to be a friend for 20 years to have the previlage of being touched by her. I only knew Beverly for about a month and a half, yet I got to know her and connected with her in a way that is rare. We talked about so many plans both personal and professional. I never forget the last thing she said to me, "it looks like we have a lot to do," and that is why I just could not understand why she had to go. Well, I farewell to her soul and send my love to you and your sister and the new angle in the family. I know that God and your mom are watching over you.
With all my heart,
Manijeh & Daniel

I never knew Robert...however, I was watching as everything unfolded before our eyes on the TV. I pray for ALL the families/friends that lost a loved one on that day. Many people have written about FORGIVENESS and that is the only way. We all go by DIVINE APPOINTMENT! Although this has been a very hard thing for me to understand I believe it is true. When GOD needs you, you will be called. All the speculation about what could have or should have is meaningless because GOD is in control. Robert sounds like he was a GREAT man and would never intentionally hurt anyone. Please do not believe everything you hear from the media they are always mixing things up.
As previously stated by others... no one knows what happened on that train only GOD and we may never know.

TO THE NEGATIVE WRITTERS: Seek comfort in GOD and pray that you never make a mistake (as you put it).

GOD BLESS!

To all of Beverly's family - my deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers. I knew Beverly through Phillips Graduate Institute and so enjoyed our enthusiastic idea exchange when discussing her plans for the Alumni Association, as recently as two weeks ago. We will all miss Beverly's infectious spirit and endearing smile. She will be in our hearts forever, and the family will be in our prayers.
