Chatsworth Metrolink Crash Comments > Page 50

Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Doyle and Claudia are wonderful friends to this "old Montanan". He was an example of the Christian "pilgrim" husband and father that every American Christian family should strive to emulate. Dear claudia and his children have so much to be thankful for God giving them this man for the time they had together. This family is a living testimony of God's grace and mercy.
In Christian love,
Jack Hane
Yes, this is my second comment. I would like to talk a little bit more about Mr. Grace. I've known him for 2 years, but there are others who have known him for a lot. Wow. All because of texting. No wonder people can't talk on their cellphones in their cars anymore. I wish he would've missed his train. He was such a great person. He changed the lives of many students. Just yesterday, we tied blue and yellow ribbons on our school fence in honor of Mr. Grace. Why blue and yellow ribbons? Because those are the colors of the Chargers team and Mr. Grace loved the Chargers. I went to talk to him about my schedule because there was a problem. Who's going to be in charge of the schedules now? He was the only one that students would go to about problems with their schedules. Who's going to referee the basketball and football games at lunch now? Roosevelt Middle School is imcomplete without Mr. Grace. He was the last piece of the puzzle. But now, he's gone and he's in a better place right now. He was a funny and a nice man. Everyone puts their life at risk everytime they get into a car, bus, train, airplane..etc. I'm very sorry about this whole thing. God bless Mr. Grace's family. They are dealing with something difficult right now. God bless everyone and R.I.P Mr. Grace. You will be missed by many. <3
many are the years that have passed and time has grown between us...i remenber as a young girl your kindness then...taking me out to your moms chicken hutch and feeding those crazy birds, you kept them from pecking me to death...the big horse "Boy" who used to rub his butt up against the fence because he wanted you to scatch him...your cow you were raising for a 4-H project...and your pizza place...we lived so far apart from each other and i only have those few memories as a child of the summers coming to visit but non the less they are sweet and so were you...rest in peace my dear...rest in peace...
I did not know Jacob Hefter. I am a professor of geography at CSULB, and was horrified to learn that one of our freshmen was among the dead. He sounds like the kind of student professors dream of having in class. As fate would have it, I was on Chatsworth St. stopped by the guard arms as the train accelerated out of the station. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
God Bless, Rest In Peace.
OJAI FARMERS MARKET SUNDAY TRIBUTE!
my prayers are with his family.
i take the train every morning and afternoon and it hits home when something like this happens. i never would have thought that a person that i knew would have been in this devestating accident. I remember mr grace, how his hard work and dedication got me where i am today. Hes a quiet yet compassionate man, and always put his students first! i want to thank him for everything. My prayers and thoughts are with the grace family.
* if it werent for you mr grace, i wouldnt wheree i am, thank you, your an angel.*
