my prayers go out to the memory of Maria and her family. i am her age and also studying to be a fashion designer and am heartbroken to hear that her life was cut so short and the world will not get to see her talent. may her soul rest in peace and may peace be with her family.

I have been following up on the train disaster and I am very sad to hear that a fellow LB 49er student was on the train. I have also lost someone close to my heart. It is hard, but I also have live in the Palmdale area and I did use to use the metrolink to travel from Palmdale to the Long Beach area also. I work in the Long Beach area now and I give my prayers to the family. God Bless JACOB family and I will keep them in prayer.

THANK YOU so much to all those whom have said kind words and encouragment!
My father was a dearly beloved man and will be missed by countless many. This is not a time to fight or to dishonor my father as so many have attempted but a time to honor his wishes and his memory. I will never forget my fathers laugh or love and will always be thankful he was in my life for as long as he was.
My dad had a saying whenever anyone would meet him and call him Mr. Pompel, he would say, "Mr. Pompel is my father, I am Howard." Well, now I am honored and privilaged to use his line.
He will always be known as Howard or Howie, but to me he will always be "DAD"!

Dad, I love you!

Gaby,

I watch you on TV as you search for your sister, I held my breath and prayed you would find her. It was devestating to hear she is no longer by your side.
I hope you find strength in your family and in the love and memories you have of your sister. She will guide you from heaven to make yours and her dreams come true.

I was bless to have Pastor Paul/Mr. Long as the best teacher I ever had and as a youth pastor; which meant he had a big hand in forming who I am today. Besides my father and now, my husband, no man had a greater impact on my spiritual growth than Paul Long. He was loved by our family and is now sorely missed.
