Keep in mind
- The Times initially mispelled the name of Michael Hammersley and Beverly Mosley.
- The coroner's office reported a 26th victim the afternoon of Sept. 15, but a few hours later said the tally was 25.
Today we remember the said day . RIP mr grace
Atul is very much missed by my son who was one of his best friends at CMC and by his many, many friends. He was intelligent, kind and happy .Our prayers are with his family on this day and always.
This Sanchez guy doesn't deserve to be included with this group of memorials. He is undeserving. I work in public transportation and not once have I placed my passengers or passengers in other vehicles in danger by talking or texting on my cell phone. My cell phone stays in my pocket when I am at work and only comes out on my breaks or after I am off the clock!
Manuel,
You and your family are in my thoughts today.
Rest in peace dear friend.
A year on...still loved and missed xxx
Prayers go out to the Hefter family <3
Jenny,
I am so sorry for your family's loss. I am so sorry, and please forgive me, for not reaching out to you and your family sooner. I honestly didn't know what I could say to you. When my husband and I heard the tragic news, we broke down in tears and prayed right away. We were at Cornerstone when Pastor Chan spoke about Walt. He talked about how he had come over to your house to pray with you and comfort you. Praise God, Walt is in Heaven. I met you and Walt during the Ensenada Imagine Trip 2007. My husband Dirk was the leader of our group. Remember all the tar from being on Pastor Santana's roof?... The Lord must have lead me to this page in the LA times online because I never read the LA Times voluntarily. And I can only imagine what this past year since the accident has been like for you. I pray God continues to be your every need and comfort. God bless you and your family.
Ron was my uncle and godfather. Almost a year ago, we lost a beautiful person, husband, father, teacher, and mentor to so many people. Like many families, even though we only lived 30 miles apart, we didn't see each other enough. We got together on the holidays and once and a while for a birthday, but I realize now that it wasn't enough. He had such a great sense of humor, and could light up a room with just his smile or his quick wit. He was always optimistic, and one of the smartest people I knew. I'm sorry I didn't get to see him more and get to know him better. I still miss you, Uncle Ron, and I think about you a lot. To all who read this, if you haven't talked to your friends or family in a while, give them a call, write them a letter, even say hi on Facebook. Keep in touch with the ones you love because life is precious, fragile, and can be gone in an instant. I love you.
Atul was incredibly smart, kind hearted and compassionate. I will always remember him telling me to "keep on smiling" and his words of comfort. I miss Atul very much, and I am very lucky that I got to know him during our time together at CMC.
The world changed a year ago. It became dimmer and quieter. Greg was a big man with a gentle soul. During periods of stress Greg would say Group Hug! and his wife would hug their son and Greg would envelop them both in his arms. I miss him and think of him often. Mike
