I am sooooo saddened to hear of Manuel's death. My heart hurts for his mother and family. May God bless all of you with comfort. I wish I could be there with all of you. I am so glad I met Manuel and his family on Mother's Day when I went to visit my daughter Vikki. Vik praised Manuel and his family for all the joy they have given her and shared with her. Manuel helped my daughter in so many ways. Thank you Manuel and thank you to his family for giving the world such a wonderful person to know. Thank you Manuel for serving in the Military. May God Bless each of you.

We at Life Spring will sorely miss our beloved Pastor Paul. He finished the race set before him, and I know the Lord is pleased with him. My prayers go out to Karen and Devin, and to all those who lost a loved one in this terrible tragedy; also to those still recovering from their injuries.

For those who may not have heard, Pastor Paul's memorial service is this coming Monday, September 22, 10 a.m. at Calvary Community Church in Westlake Village.

Robert was a kind man who shared of himself in every way possible and should be remembered as such. Always waving from his window, a smile on his face, always kind.

IT WAS A MISTAKE, one most of us do every day, text and drive... admit it or not! If anything, like someone else suggested, let's learn from this and commit to making a serious, conscious and dedicated effort to stop texting while driving!!

The loss of life was grand but the lesson to be learned could also be grand... let's take it.

As a train conductor's wife, I appreciate the extra set of eyes on the freight trains as the UP conductor mentioned.

Metrolink, please work on ensuring something like this never happens again. Step up to the plate and don't put this all on one man's shoulder.

I'm certain Robert would take this back a thousand times over, if he could. May he rest in peace.

God bless Robert's family.

I remember I had such a crush on this red headed freckle faced kind and funny guy, Ron from 8th grade through high school at Bell-Jeff Class of '71....It sounds like Ron made quite a place for himself at Roosevelt and was a good man.

May God receive him into His arms and comfort his loved ones in his absence. What a tragic loss.

I met Howard on the train and he would just have us all laughing with all his stories. If I ever had a bad day at work Howard would just cheer me up by telling me a joke...I really appreciated him. He had a great heart! He loved his family he was so proud of his son and daughter. He will be missed.

God will always be with you.

Dam, what can i say about Mr. Grace. He was like a Second dad to me. He pushed me to strive for excellence. He got me into the GATE and AVID programs. He was My favorite Counselor and mentor by far. I always wanted to go to his office and show him what i have become. I guess i really can never show him the man that he made me to. Mr. Grace i will never forget you. Your Name will always be in my heart. May You rest in Peace.
