Pete was a terrific father and husband. My daughter is good friends with his daughter meeting in school. He was a kind man and will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with his family.

How saddened I was to hear of the loss of Bunky. Some of my fondest memories go back to when we grew up together on the same street in Mar Vista. These are just a few - of the times we rode the Street car to Venice Beach. When Bunky rented movies and would show them in his garage. He would have chairs set up for the kids and we would pay something like 5 cents to watch the cartoons. And of the times we shot baskets on McCune and of our days at Venice High School.
Madge and I enjoyed the music of the talented Shenandoah trio - Bunky, Earl and Rich, we attended their performance at the "Ice House" and we always thought that they should have been famous.
I hadn't seen him for a long time - since my family and I moved away to attend BYU but I have thought of him often. He was a special friend and a good example - he was pure gold in my opinion. Our thoughts and prayers and deepest sympathy go to Maria, Jeanette and Scott

Mr. Long.....taken too soon. He made such an impact on my life as a student of Grace from 1992-1995 when I had to move to NC. He told me I would pick up that southern accent and I would get so mad at him, but he was right. He said "Andrea, you'll be able to turn that accent off and on just like that". I can and I will always think of him when it comes creeping out! Mr Long was so much more than a fantastic English teacher, he was a godly man, kind, funny, focused on eternal things. Someone that could laugh at us kids and let us laugh at him. His class was fun and engaging. I've truely never had a better teacher than Mr. Long. I just made a visit back to Simi 2 years ago and he's the one teacher that Jessica and I searched the entire school to find and I'm so glad we found him and I was able to see him and laugh about old times. He touched so many lives and I will never forget him. My prayers are with his family. I will see him agian. Much love.

I was heartbroken to learn that Mr. Hammersley had been on the train. I am a Public Safety Officer and transferred from City Hall over a year ago. During the Morning Watch shift I would always see Mr. Hammersley come in through LA Gate or would see him at the City Hall front desk. He was very dedicated to his job, because I would always see him hurrying about with the mail. If God lets us keep our jobs that we had in life, then I know that I will see you again.

Karen & Devin
We all miss your wonderful husband and father. I needed to let you know what Paul meant to me. Paul was not only my teacher at Grace Brethren, he was also my friend. He was a man of integrity and virtue which is an extremely difficult quality to find in these difficult times. Paul helped sculpt me into the man I have become.
Thank You Mr. Long for all of your personal support for so many years. You truly are a gift from GOD.

I will always remember Bev for the joy and compassion she shared with her family, friends, colleagues and patients. I see that beautiful smile every time I think of her.

Doyle has been a friend of mine since our college days together at Colorado State. Our friendship grew closer during a few short years in Denver after college before marriage and families for both of us. Our daughters attend the same university in San Diego now. Time has passed by so quickly but my memories of Doyle - conversations, basketball games, our families, our friends, and most importantly, our Christian faith - will remain until we meet again. Ardeth's and my thoughts, prayers, and encouragement will be with you, Claudia, and your wonderful Kids.

I've been reading the comments for several days now, wanting to post some of my own but too gutted to know where to start. I've know Roger for many years, first getting to know him through our halftime walks around Old Pasadena as we took in the football (we are Chelsea brethren). But we talked about more than just the footie, and knew and kept up with each other's goings on, and shared the joys and sorrows of life. It seems like at every party, my wife Diane would end up talking to Roger most of the evening, later telling me how much she enjoyed his humour, his stories, and his outlook. That's the kind of fellow he was.

I always enjoyed meeting his many relatives who would visit from around the world from time to time, and to all of you I send my deepest and most heartfelt condolences.

Lastly, on behalf of all Roger's many friends from "the pub," we are all thinking of the Spacey family during your difficult days. Know that you have our lasting support.

This one's for you, Rog: Come on, Chelsea! Come on, you Blues!

I was honored and privileged to have met Walt and family at the wedding last year. I knew straight away that this was a special family with terrific leadership. I grieved when Cheryl told me the news of the tragedy. I also have found comfort in the words, both written and spoken, that I have read and heard over the past few days. I look forward to the day when I can see him again face to face and give him some high-fives for a job well done!

Rest in peace, Walt, at the feet of our Shepherd!
