I'll never forget it. I was shaking Soldiers hands and telling everyone to be safe on the road. You gave me a hug and said, "you be safe Chief. " We laughed and I said I will see you Monday. SIGH....RIP SGT Pedro. Gone but never forgotten. We just found out about the loss. My husband met Brian at Knox during basic and they went to Maryland together where I got to meet him for the first time. It would be the Brian Pedro, Bryan Passon my husband, me and our two girls hanging out ever weekend. Then we all got sent to Germany together. Brian and Bryan went to Afghan. and my husband went to Iraq. We spent a lot of time together, since they where both so far from home during the holidays they spent it with us, we went on trips together as a family. Stateside when Brian got sent to N.M. we where sent to Ft. Hood and made plans for him to come visit, but things fell through, he deployed and we got sent to NY. We love you Brian and know that you are looking down on us with that big smile you always had. We are better for having met you and being a part of our family. It's been 3 months now, and want to let you know that Shanna is living in memory of you. She fills her home with family and friends, just how you would have wanted her to. Your spirit is alive in her home, as with everywhere she goes. She keeps your banner in her front window, to show the world how very proud she is of you. We all feel your presense there, and it is such a comfort and honor to know you are, and will always be with us.
