He was a quiet guy but always spoke up when it was his turn. He never quit and never complained when others did. I wish I could have known him better but I never met a better soldier than him. I think of him often and the life he missed. In all my endeavors I have carried him with me and thought him with me. I use it as an example not to waste a moment and to strive forward through adversity. Always thinking of you Shane. You always put the needs of others before yourself. I think about you everyday. I never thought it would be like this. They told us everyday we would go over there and fight for our country. I didn't end up going and I'm sorry I wasn't there. Please know that you are not forgotten. I can still visualize you coming through our front door with that shy smile of yours, the many nights you and Justin spent hour’s playing cards, laughing together and of course the “mom” jokes. Every day I see the sadness on his face. He misses you so much and on the night his son, Mason, was born his one wish was that "Uncle Shane" could have been there. You are an amazing person who gave your life so we could all live ours as we choose. Thank you so much for being such a big part of Justin, Kody, and my lives. We will never forget your sacrifice; you will be in our hearts forever. Mason will grow up knowing what an incredibly brave, loving, wonderful, thoughtful and caring person his Uncle Shane forever will be. We love and miss you every day, Robin Tue, 10 Feb 2009 07:41:42 -0800 Rose on May 28, 2008 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/shane-m-stinson/#c138 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/shane-m-stinson/#c138 Shane, Every time I see your tag I talk to you. I only know you thru your mom. I will never forget your sacrifice. Keep your family strong. I worked with his Mother at Sparkletts for over 25 years and we were all so sadden and shocked by his death. So many of the Sparkletts family attended his funeral that there was only standing room only that overflowed the church. We will always remember his sacrifice on each Memorial Day.
