I had been a member in the 60's. Over the years we became good friends, and saw his family grow. Alan was the poster Marine-tall, square jaw, physically impressive, talented, and a genuinely nice guy. I am sure he would have someday been a general. He was the commanding officer of H&S company, 7th Marines, when he was killed September 3rd, 2004. Just like Vietnam, the lives lost in Iraq were wasted due to left wing influence and the lack of a will to win. As a result, the US has lost influence to totalitarian force around the world, and lives of terrific people like Alan were lost in vain Sun, 28 May 2017 08:45:20 -0700
