You see he was my battle buddy and the detail he got killed on more than likely would have been mine therefore I feel he gave his life for mine. That day I reached in my pocket and I pulled it out and put it in his hand and said "come home safe, thank you for everything you ever done for me, you are a great friend and battle buddy" he smiled and said "no worries" I never spoke to him again, he was the one soldier I wanted to come home, I found out what happened through people magazine... I feel to my knees...
