He was my best friend. He was my roommate. He was my brother. I dont know anyone in our unit who spent more time with him. I remember everything that happened like it was yesterday. But now it was over 10 years ago. I was 17 when met "G". I turned 18 feb 1st the day we left for Baghdad. He was like my older brother. He was an infantryman just like me. We pulled countless patrols and missions. He was lead gunner and I was rear gunner. We watched each others backs everyday. I will always remember you "G" your sacrifice will never be forgotten or taken for granted by me. I love him and miss him all the time. I hope he is resting in peace now.
