We were close friends in Escondido prior to my moving to the midwest and I wish I would've been better at staying in touch. We used to go to church together on Wednesday nights and hung at the beach together. He was a really great friend and like a big brother always looking out for me. He passed through Milwaukee and asked to meet for lunch and I couldn't make it. Wish I would have made it happen. I think of you all the time. Thank you for your sacrifice. I will be running a 10k for the fallen in your honor and know that you will be smiling down on me. God bless you Jimmy! I still grieve for you and your family. You are a Hero. I was part of Task Force Iron Claw. You were securing me that day. Thank you. I was just browsing the names list on here, saw his name, and it sounded very familiar. I looked him up in the old yearbook and I absolutely remember him. Wow. RIP and condolences to his family and friends. I will never forget the time we all went to dinner (inside joke). Then the last time I saw him. He and Marilena came to have lunch with me at Burger King in Clarksville, TN. He always smiled and he made her so happy. I'll never forget him! May he RIP. Too young to die and yet willing to go there and chance it. Hope they are greatful! Do we need this... They could still be among us, but... They've lived in this gorgeous place that we all love and now they past away... WHY, WHY. Because of a war in a land where nobody never says us "thank you". God Bless Them and God Bless America. Known Jim from Marines in North Carolina, in which, many of us lost touch of the years. I am very sadden to hear of his death. I did not know he passed away until today. I would have never known if the Los Angeles Times link didn't appear at the bottom of the page with his name on it. I am so sorry. He was a great man, GOD Bless him. He will be truly truly missed. He was a good man, I never seen him without a smile on his face. I met James in Baumholder when i was on rear d awaiting my M.E.B on the Chistmas mail detail. The guys at the mail room informed me of his passing before I left on may 10. My wife and I remember James every year. I just thought you might want to hear that James will continue to be missed. I didn't know him that well, but when I did see or talk to him, he was always so nice and funny. What a tragedy. Thu, 11 Sep 2008 11:56:08 -0700
