He distinguished himself quickly with his high level of motivation and strong desire to learn and improve. I was shocked and heartbroken when I heard about his death. RIP, Sean. WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES: God foretells a time when he will establish peace earth wide. Under his Kingdom, a heavenly government, people will not "learn war anymore." Instead, they will beat their swords into plowshares." (Isaiah 2:4) God will bring an end to all injustices and suffering. The Bible promises:[God]will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things [including today's injustices and sufferings] have passed away."-Revelation 21:3,4. This gives us a wonderful hope for the future. If you would like to know more, talk with one of Jehovah's Witnesses, when they are in your neighborhood. They would be happy to tell more, from the Bible. Afterwards he became the leader of his own team. We were close. We had been firends prior to ever going to Stuttgart. I and his fellow teammates, Carl and Colin will never forget him. And he was also a strong guy, an outstanding soldier. I went to Patrol Medic school with him, and he was my team leader for one tour in Afghanistan. He knew his job well. His passing was extremely hard to take, impossible to take. He was a person with many genuinely good qualities. He and his beautiful wife and their child made the hardest and most bitter sacrifice. I had the honor to be one of his pall bearers. Recently I took something from our team and put it next to the wall at the Vietnam Memorial. Sean was an American hero before he passed away, and still is. I met Sean a few years before he joined the Army. He was such a caring and warm person, and always had a smile on his face. I will miss him. Tue, 16 Sep 2008 12:42:10 -0700
