I enlisted in 1985 and little did I know, Sean did too. The first time we met in the Air Force was at Edwards AFB when I was working Transit Alert and Sean jumped put of his C130. We were both A1Cs at the time. We kept in touch over the years and the last time we exchanged emails was only months before he passed. He was a true patriot, and an American Hero and most of all a friend. Sean, you will always be my Hero!!!!! He'd be so incredibly proud of them. Miranda&Preston, if you're reading this- I know your dad is looking down on you two smiling. Keep making him proud Sat, 14 May 2016 03:22:40 -0700 Mark Adams on November 25, 2014 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/sean-m-corlew/#c172624 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/sean-m-corlew/#c172624 I was a crewmember with Sean when we were deployed to Argentina during what turned into the terrorist attack of 9/11. We both wondered what would happen next. It was a spear in my heart when I learned of our loss. A finer Airman there never was. Those of us who rubbed elbows never forget our fallen when the news might have faded. They are with us forever as Sean is with me. Sean loved life and his country. He was one hell of a man! And had the integrity many men could only dream about. God bless you Sean! The world is better place because of your selfless honor to our country. As a Veteran myself, I have a wonder on many occasions Will War and Suffering Ever End? I have inquired in the fields of Social Sciences, Philosophy, and various Religions. Yet none of them have offered any reasonable solutions. Once I began a diligent study of the Bible, I came up with Profound answers to those questions. The Bible Teaches: God foretells a time when he will establish peace earth wide. Under his Kingdom, a heavenly government, people will not "learn war anymore." Instead, they will beat their swords into plowshares."(Isaiah 2:4) God will bring an end to all injustices and suffering. The Bible promises:"[God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things[including today's injustices and suffering] have passed away."- Revelation 21:3,4; Psalm 46:9- "Making wars cease." Under the rule of his Kingdom, the heavenly King Jesus Christ will resurrect untold numbers of people to life here on earth- but under peaceful and righteous conditions(Acts 24:15; 2 Peter 3:13) Jesus said:"I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercise faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." Imagine the great ecstasy when the dead come back to life and are reunite with their loved ones. "[God] comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God."- 2 Corinthians 1:4. Agape, Robert Wed, 03 Oct 2012 08:25:55 -0700 Robert Henderson on September 18, 2012 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/california-based/conner-t-lowry/#c87139 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/california-based/conner-t-lowry/#c87139 My deepest sympathy to the family of Conner on the lost of their dear love one. All though I did not know Conner personally, as a true Christian and my love for my fellowman compel me to act as described in the holy scriptures found at 2 Corinthians 1:4 "[GOD, Jehovah] comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God." God's son(Jesus) our ransomer and saver said: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." [John 11:25] The Bible teaches that the dead will live again. While Jesus was on earth, he showed that he is able to resurrect the dead.[Mark 5:42] Under the rule of his Kingdom(government), the heavenly King Jesus Christ will resurrect untold numbers of people to life here on earth- but under peaceful and righteous conditions.(Acts 24:15; 2 Peter 3:13) Imagine the great ecstasy when the dead come back to life and are reunited with their love ones! I'm so sorry to hear about your loved one. Wars are so senseless, we should all get along. In the Bible at Psalms 46:9 it says: "He will make all wars to cease to the extremity of the earth." There will be no more wars. And Revelation 21:4 it says: "He will wipe every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore the former things have passed away." That gives us a wonderful hope for the future. May you have peace and comfort.
