We spent a lot of time working togethet. His sense of humor was infectious. We played basketball together and even had the opportunity to play at the men's gym at UCLA's ROTC building back in the 90s when Magic Johnson and a few friends would play pick up games there. Rick really enjoyed those times. I miss you brother. Semper Fi my dear friend. I was flying in support of your son's unit that afternoon. From the air, I saw all hell break loose on the ground. With the help of the Forward Air Controller, I was able to drop a bomb on those insurgents. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. From what I have read about your son, he was a true hero. Thank you for remembering my son and prayers. I miss my son and not a day goes by without my thinking of him. His birthday is on the 25th of feb. And i will cook his favorite meal in his honor: arroz con habichuelas guisadas y bistec con muchas cebolla. Maybe a little apple pie?? Once again, thank you for being his friend even after his death. It was because of Rick that I went to my first high school party and my first time to Georgetown in DC to check out the night scene as two high school teenage boys do. Rick loved his Country, the Marine Corp, his family and his friends. May God bless you Rick and we will all see you soon. To be honest I really miss the time we hung out. It feels like you're still here. I wish we can still talk about baseball and music stuff we used to do. I do hope you're hanging out in the most special place together with God in Heaven. I miss you man! Thank you for supporting the great country in the world.
