He was a great guy and it's sad that he is gone. I'm sure he's standing gaurd in twin oaks over his friends and family. From one vet to another we'll meet again bro. As a former Marine myself I can only say that I'd appreciate a good word by you up there so that when I'm called home my brothers will be waiting for me at a place of rest. Your Dad is an amazing man and showed me how to be proud even on a dark day. Go with God Marine and we'll meet at Tun Tavern as soon as I get there. He told me I would be in his squad and in his team. Well thats exactly what happened until we were told we were would be mobile. So I got put in the lead truck. The day he got hit still hants me to this day. I think about it constantly about how that day started when that first IED happened. But i will not forget how that second one rang through my ears and the call for 3Zulu kept going over the radio. I came around the corner and saw the truck on its side. All I could think was DAMN I SCREWED UP. We pulled people out and couldnt find Zanutto. I jumped on the pile of truck to find him i wasnt giving up no matter what. Finally i say his name tape and finally got the truck off of him. ONCE he was in the high back to get him to charlie med but wait there was no driver. I told SGT Whittaker i was takin it and leaving. I drove like a bat out of hell. I got him there as fast as i could. I lost it when some ARMY fag came to me and was telling me i drove to fast. But you know what when we got him to charlie med i had high hopes for him. WEll we sat there for hours and then finally we got to put him on the bird. I carried hime to the bird and it hurt me so much to have to put him on the helicopter. ALL I can say is that until the day i DIE i will remeber Corpral ADAM ZANUTTO the first marine corpral to be a big brother to me. I MISS YOU AND WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU BROTHER. He had a smile that could light up the room and a genuine personality that made you like him from the moment you met him. Although I did not know him well personally, I felt as though I knew him all my life through the many stories Kelly shared with me about her crazy and wonderful brother. When I learned of Adam's death, I felt tremendous loss and grief for the Zanutto family and heart-broken for Kelly who loved her brother so much. As angry as I am about this senseless war, I will always remember Adam as the crazy fun-loving brother...the brave soldier...and the angel I'm sure he is right now. Peace and happiness little brother...you will never be forgotten.
