I'm imagining that one of his combat buddies lost this while visiting Nevada. Please email me directly and let me know whatever happened to this bracelet! I regret that it has taken me 2 years to read of this. Thank you for your kindness and respectfulness. This bracelet is a rememberance of CPE Joshua Kynoch. It would be an honor to be able to give this back to whomever is the rightful owner. Thu, 16 Aug 2012 05:46:28 -0700 Sgt. He went through hell with me as my team's SAW gunner during the 2003 invasion. I remember watching him grow as a soldier and having a since of pride in knowing that I taught him everything I knew and he used it to become a good soldier. In this manner I cannot help but blame myself for his death, thinking I could have taught him at least a little more that might have saved his life. I think about him and his family everyday. I took the bus to Casa Grande High School with Josh before we became old enough to drive. He lived in the neighborhood across the road from me. Josh was one of the most caring, funny, and respectful guys at our school. I was in a different grade but I knew Josh was well liked and seemed to have a lot of friends. It is so unfortunate that his life had to end but at least Sara and him gave the world a daughter for him to live on through. I have so much love for you all, Josh really was an amazing guy. :) Sat, 24 Sep 2011 12:12:53 -0700 SSG Stewart on December 25, 2009 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/joshua-j-kynoch/#c20233 https://projects.latimes.com/wardead/name/joshua-j-kynoch/#c20233 I knew Josh back at FOB Summerall. He was the one man who could bring a smile to everyone's face, regardless of the situation. Merry Christmas Josh. I will never forget. In 2005, I was the NCOIC of Legal Services at FOB Speicher. Joshua called/emailed and was trying to find registration forms for his vehicle in Georgia. After some phone calls/emails, I was able to direct him to the information he needed. Some time after that, Joshua came into my office on a convoy. He walked up to me and introduced himself. I finally had a face and voice to the name. I remember he spoke of his wife fondly and comfortably. I was saddened to read a few weeks later he was killed. I wanted to write his wife and let her know I had talked to him; however, my address records were not able to be found as I was from a different state than the one I deployed with. As an NCO, I will always remember Joshua's dedication to protect this country and keep her out of harm's way. I read where his wife, Sarah, wrote on this website in 2008; so, I can only hope she will see this. I remember Joshua. I always will. He emailed/called me while in Iraq in 2005. I was the NCOIC of Legal Services at FOB Speicher at the time. He wanted to find a registration form for his vehicle in Georgia. After many emails/phone calls between him and myself, I was finally able to direct him to find what he was looking for. A couple of weeks after that, he came into my office on a convoy. He was very polite and walked up to me and introduced himself. I finally had a face to the name and voice. It saddens me to know I read a few weeks later he was killed. I have never forgotten him and I will always remember he spoke of his wife so fondly and comfortably. I spent a long time wanting to write his wife about meeting him; however, when I de-Mobed all my records of addresses were erased as I was from another State from the one I deployed with. As a Soldier, I keep Joshua in my thoughts to keep me focused and motivated to always protect this country from those who would do her harm. I think that is what he would want. I read his wife, Sarah, wrote a message in May 2008; and I can only hope she reads this website often. I remember Joshua. I always will. SSG Donna Gibson Tue, 24 Feb 2009 12:28:21 -0800
